Monthly Events Begin!
On October 5th, we held our first in-person event in support of our efforts to protect the Green River Valley from the threat of mining. The event, hosted by Trap Door Brewing in Vancouver, WA, was a great success! The event was followed by a second in-person event at Oakshire Beer Hall in NE Portland through the Oakshire Inspires Program.
The events each included an informative presentation about our efforts to secure a mineral withdrawal for the Green River Valley and an engaging Q&A session fueled by the drive and passion of our attendees. The events continued with our attendees taking action as they signed our newly launched petition, wrote postcards to their representatives in Congress, and bought #NoPlaceForAMine merch including t-shirts, hoodies, and hats! There was even a DIY button maker for the kids in attendance. We truly appreciate all the support and give our thanks to Trap Door Brewing, Oakshire Beer Hall and everyone who showed up to grab a pint and support our work.
We are extremely excited about the direction of this campaign and are looking forward to scheduling more events for the near future. Our next two events will be at Heathen Brewing Feral Public House in Vancouver, WA on February 23 and at Leikam Brewing in SE Portland on March 24. We hope to continue this trend of monthly events, so keep an eye out for those future event announcements below. Cheers!
